Lead Legends ("we", "us") is a digital marketing studio in South Africa. We are the "responsible party" for the personal information described here.

What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), business name or website (optional) and your message.
- Newsletter: your email address and the fact that you agreed to receive it.
- Website use: if you accept analytics cookies, anonymous information about how the site is used, such as pages visited, device type and approximate location. See the Cookie Policy.
We do not collect special personal information, and we do not knowingly collect information about children.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you hire us, to do the work (contract).
- To send the newsletter, only if you ticked the box to say yes (consent). You can unsubscribe in one click from any email.
- To understand which pages help people and improve the website (our legitimate interest, and only with your consent for analytics cookies).
- To keep the site secure and stop spam.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We use trusted service providers to run the site, and they may process your information on our behalf:
- Cloudflare: website hosting, security and spam checks.
- [TODO: Brevo or MailerLite, whichever you use]: newsletter and email delivery.
- Google (Google Analytics and Tag Manager): website analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
Some of these providers store information outside South Africa. Where that happens, we rely on providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to POPIA.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your rights
Under POPIA you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- correct it or delete it;
- stop using it for marketing, or withdraw a consent you gave earlier.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and form details are sent securely to our email provider. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information, and we will tell you and the Information Regulator if a breach affects you.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
